Any of my CENLA folks going to the release tomorrow? I know Bayou Teche is releasing a Brut IPA next week, but I think these are the only ones in the state so far. Very interesting style and I’m excited to give it a try.

I am not an ipa fan, but I’m glad to see that brewery doing so well! They always have something going on to bring people in

This one has tangerine purée added to it. Kind of like a “beermosa”

I like that Alex has a brewery willing to try new styles.

Will have to check them out when I’m down for the holidays.

So am I. I know this board has a love affair with Parish beers. But it’s nice to check out what the rest of our Louisiana brewers are putting out. The upcoming seasonals and IPAs from Huckleberry have really got my interest. It’s definitely a brewery to keep an eye on.

Techeticles is a great beer, but this style doesn't sound too appetizing. Bayou Teche's taproom atmosphere is worth it alone though.

Just thought I’d post an update on this brew.

I finally got to get by there and give it a whirl. Man this beer is a beast! It tops out at 7% ABV. It’s juicier than I was expecting, but a ton of tangerine flavor and mosaic hops were added at the end of fermentation. You definitely get a “juicy-dry” mouthfeel. If you are close to Alexandria, you need to get by the brewery and try it.

They are distributed in the Alexandria, Leesville, & Lake Charles markets, so look for it soon. If not, ask about it. Sometimes it’s hard for the little guys to get the exposure they deserve.

They also just released a S’more Porter that is delicious.
