If you can get away with it, you can get them for free.

Oh I'm looking for grass fed
then i dont think you are gonna find anyone selling that at 2-3 dollars a lb. ive looked. that is unless you can get the cow from your hook up and just find a butcher who will slice it up how you want it.

Friend of my family up in Washington Parish. Local cattlemen provide the cow and this guy processes.

Grass fed, but grain finished. I don't like 100% grass fed too much. Old habits die hard!

I get it for $4.99/lb, from the farmer. Grass fed, all natural. That price gets me an assortment of cuts. We usually buy a half at a time. It fills up our small freezer and lasts us months. We do get some say in proportions.. we like hamburger better than ribs or cube steak so we opt for more hamburger less ribs.

Steaks are a bit tougher than cornfed confined feed lot animals but have better flavor IMO. think fit person vs couch potato (grass fed vs confined ill fed feed lot animal).

Plus the grass fed meat is higher in omega 3 fatty acids, lower fat, and lower cholesterol.

Only whiny city frickers don't like the grass fed and complain when fed a real steak. They must have weak jaw muscles because chewing seems to upset their sensibilities.

I pity them.
