Houston recc. near Galleria

Have to make a last minute trip to houston and staying near the galleria. Looking for decent restaurant reccs, prefer something ethnic or what I can't get in BR.

What do you consider near? Within 5 to 8 miles is lots of stuff...
Ethnic....there's lots in the Galleria Area, for Indian there is Mayuri and for Persian there Bijan. Hay Merchant is pretty good modern cuisine, it's laid back but still very nice. Pretty good beer selection as well.
