First, with slicers you get what you pay for, I've used deli quality slicers and they are awesome, but not cheap.
But if you're just slicing for deli meat or pork belly for bacon once or twice a month, the much more affordable slicers work ok. Years ago I was gifted a similar model to this one but a little less expensive, and continue to use it once a month or so. It's not fancy, but effective.
