For those of you with chamber vacs, is there anything in particular I should be aware of prior to purchasing? I’m looking at the vacmaster 215 and the MEAT! Chamber vac. They are similar in shape and size, but one has a larger pump and wider seal bar. What value, if any, should I place on these differences?

I have a vacmaster 210 I bought 10 years ago. Not sure the length of the sealing bar but it accepts 10 in wide bags. Wider is better if you want to seal bigger bags. I use it every week and have run hundreds of bags through it. I buy bags by the case from targils in Opelousas. Haven’t in a while but they are cheap.

My next machine will be a chamber type. The vac master seems to be one of the better machines on the market in that size and price range From what I have read. I am currently using a game saver turbo plus but the heat strip isn’t doing as well as it used to.

I have had the Polyscience version of that for a while and it has worked well.

Don't put hot liquids in it, you'll be sorry if you do, ask me how I know.
