Heat wave cooking question

We're going through a really bad heat wave in Shreveport. Temps are over 105 every day for weeks.
I noticed that the dome temp of my barrel type BBQ pit stays at 160 degrees. Is there anything I could make at that temp without lighting the coals?
The 160 lasts for about 4 hours mid day.

Tea in a jar beside the grill, thin sliced chicken or any other form of protien (that has been brought to ambient temp) will cook at that temp. Veggies not, as they have cell walls, not membranes(it's that cellulose thingy).

Close, but actually veggies have both, cell walls and cell membranes

What about thin sliced beef jerky?
I could marinate it overnight and put it on the grill about 10 am when the temp is 130.
The temp will slowly rise to 160 and then decline to 130 by 7 pm. I would think 9 hours of raw beef would = jerky by then.

Might have to do that twice to get the jerk, unless very thin sliced.

Think Paulie with the garlic and razor blade in Goodfellas

This I put here as a result of not watching TV alot, about three days after Jimmy Hoffa disappeared from the planet a friend familiar with the Mafia(relatives of Carlos) told me something. Somehow there is a hotdog factory involved with the lack of a body ever being found.
