Has anyone ever cooked with Japones Chilis?

I did a grocery pickup yesterday and they substituted new mexico chilis with japones chilis, which are a lot hotter. I didn't realize it until I got home.

I use them to make General Tso’s Chicken.

The package was misspelled. It’s supposed to be Jalapeños
