I usually only see orange ones, but was at a Mexican market and also saw green and red ones. Does anyone have experience with tasting these and how they compare to the orange? I love the flavor or the orange, but am curious about the others.

The red ones are in about the same SHU range as the orange ones. I've never heard of green habs.

reds are a different variety and i thought they were hotter. almost pointless for anything i cook with.
i didnt have as much luck growing the reds also.

Like most (any?) pepper, they start off green, then ripen to yellow, orange, and then red.

depends on the pepper
orange habaneros will go from green to orange. they wont go red.
my jalapenos go green and then red
cayennes go green, yellow/orange, red
