Sumo mandarins (Dekopon) have a short season and are usually available Jan-Apr here (Shreveport) Whole Foods always has them, and occasionally they show up at Kroger and Brookshires. Google them, they are truly legendary. Big, easy to peel with very little pith sticking to the flesh and very sweet but with just the right amount of acidity.
