Thanks for all the suggestions. We heard about Fireside pies from others, but shelved it for later on. Ended up at Victor Tango's on Knox. Great meal, lots of fun, fun atmosphere.
I will make a note of the others in my list of places to try.
We are up in Far North Dallas, near Plano, so we can get just about anywhere within 20-25 min, and when the kids aren't with us, we love to take our time with a meal.

I don't think it has been said but Meddlesome Moth is fantastic. Some of the best food I've ever had. Still have pleasant thoughts about their chocolate cake and I'm not much of a dessert guy.
