I have been using a Nespresso for the better part of 2 years now. I am ruined for regular old drip coffee now. However, my coffee budget has quadrupled.

I've been looking at a fully automatic espresso machine. They cost quite a bit upfront but should save money in the long run.

Anyone here have any suggestions?

I have a friend that has a Jura. Those are expensive as hell.

I am looking at this one and may pull the trigger LINK

You can find good deals on Jura refurbs, but there are so many solid options nowadays for cheaper.

The Philips ones are pretty well built and have lots of reviews. They are widely used so you can fine the most info on them. I haven’t used one because I just do espresso shots. There are various levels and features.

You bought a machine that takes Vertuo not OriginalLine pods, didn’t you? There are plenty of generic OL pods available that are pretty cheap. You can also load your own, but it’s a hassle.

I kept my ex wife in lattes for under $2.50 a day in coffee for multiple cups with OL.

Don’t underestimate what a pain in the arse it is to clean a non pod espresso machine.

I have a semi-auto Gaggia Brera. Maybe look into something like that
