I don't think Barq's has a traditional root beer taste so I would say more like A&W.

It's not the same as what you get at Frostop. They make that root beer there on site.

Growing up in BR, my grandmother lived catecorner from the Frostop @ Government & St Ferdinand. Loved walking over there for a cold root beer. Good stuff !

It tastes the same to me. The stores may make it on site, but if they're using the same extract, it will taste the same.
What I don't like about the Frostop on Clearview, is they put ice in it because it's not as cold as it should be. For that reason, the bottled stuff gives a better experience.
