Got the sausage and biscuits and wings to start. The biscuits were fantastic. Sausage was good but needed more smoke. Wings were ok. Blue Oak obviously better.

For main course I got brisket and ribs. The brisket was ok but way too fatty and the ribs were meh. I didn't care for the sweet sauce on the ribs. Again, a nod to Blue Oak.

For sides I got cornbread (biscuit was WAY better) and the spicy grilled cabbage. The cabbage was delicious. My friends got what I got plus the fried chicken. It looked ok but I didn't try it and they didn't rave about it.

The biscuits and cabbage were definitely the best things I had there. I will give it another go or 2 to try the beef rib and the pork belly and their burgers, but Blue Oak is far better IMO.

Agree with every word of this 100%. The non-BBQ items were the best. The BBQ was several levels below Blue Oak. I have no real interest in going back.

For the time being Ill be making the longer trek to Joint to get BBQ. Might hit up Oak and Frey in another 6 mths to see if there is any progression.
