Foreman Grill vs NuWave Oven for Keto

So I can't have a real grill in my new apartment, and I am about to start doing Keto pretty hard core. So I picked up a big Foreman GrIll for quick grilling(it's still in the box). But I went to my buddy's house Tuesday night to watch LSU/Kentucky and he made a couple of hamburgers with bacon on his NuWave that were outstanding. Not as good as on a charcoal grill, but not far from it. The bacon was especially awesome.

Anyhoo, it's been a while since I've cooked meat on anything other than a charcoal grill--I haven't used a Foreman since college. I was hoping to get some sage advice from the men and women of the F&D board.
