For any of you old Baton Rouge natives, have you ever heard of an old Restaurant called Grumpy's? It was apparently located on or near Winbourne in the 50's. I'm working on a little project and I'm struggling to find information on it.
Thanks,
Thanks,

Grumpy’s was at Winbourne Ave. and North Foster Drive in the northeast corner. I was young, but my parents took us there a few times.

Also, there was an Esso station and some businesses like a shoe store maybe on the NW corner; an appliance store on SW corner and Dykes grocery on SE corner.

I wonder if Grumpy was the nickname of the owner or something. What kind of food did they serve?

From what my family has remembered there was a cleaners near the restaurant too?

All I remember was there was a neon sign with the dwarf on it.
It was the fast food of the day. You could eat in your car or go inside. Seems like it was a wooden building; not brick.
