I've got a 20 lb bird. I know it's technically too large for the Big Easy oil less fryer. In stating that, I am able to fit it in the basket so I'm going to give it a shot. We would like to eat around 2:00 and I'm seeing a lot of different opinions on cooking times per pound. I have a few questions:
How long do you think it will take from time I drop the turkey in to time I take it out?
When should I pull it out? Once it hits 165 or at a temp a little below 165?
How long should it 'rest' for before carving and serving?
Thanks for any help and Happy Thanksgiving!

I go 10 minutes per pound and add 10-15 minutes to the time. if its 165, wrap loosely in foil and let rest 20 minutes or so. Cant believe you fit a 20 pounder in that thing. Remember to put in in legs down like its walking and good luck

For best performance we recommend only cooking up to a 16 pound turkey in the Big Easy Oil-Less Turkey Fryer. Also, we recommend the turkey being completely thawed before cooking. For larger turkeys we recommend the Big Easy Smoker Roaster & Grill. This is model # 14101550 and it can cook a turkey up to 25 pounds.

Looks like this sucker may need to go in the oven instead.

Don't cook by time. Use a thermometer in the breast not touching bone and remove at 165,let sit and it will be beautiful. Did a 17.5 lber in exactly two hours Sunday so time is just an estimate, not a certainty.

Listen to Retired. Cooked several turkeys in mine and they always finish early. Makes for a really juicy bird.
