Heirloom..Cherokee Purple, black beefsteak(Robeson), pink beefsteak(Brandywine), Black Krim, Creole, Roma..and all others.

Love cherokee heirloom sandwiches on white bread, Hellmans, basil, and white pepper.

We grow three times as many Romas because we FAR prefer them for canning and sauce. Creoles, Better Boys and Celebrity have all made us pretty happy for eating fresh...slicing, sandwiches, and salads. Never grown grape or cherry.

Agreed, at $5 for a big tub of them at Sam's Club, not worth the effort.

However, Cherokee heirloom starter plants for just $2 at LSU Ag Show putting out 40+ per plant, when Whole Foods sells them for $4.50 per tomato..that's worth doing.

And I like some overripe, which can be hard to find commercially, now that Mr Territo passed away.
