Dinner recommendations in Houston?

Old lady has an office function for dinner so I am on my own for dinner tonight. Looking for something new to try while I have the chance since she is not the most adventurous eater. Trying to keep it within the loop or just outside of it on the west side of town. Anyone got suggestions? preferably under $20.

Roostar. It was pretty good wanted something a little bit different, so Mexican was off the table.

People will tell you roostar is over priced but it’s a damn good sandwich.
