Did Abita change their "Amber" Recipe?

I've been drinking this for years and this is the first time I've tasted cane molasses.

I don't know about recently however a few years ago I believe they changed the process for all their beers once they received investment for capital improvements.
That is, it is my opinion (based on taste) that Abita originally achieved carbonation through secondary fermentation. After they installed new equipment the beer now taste like it by-passes the secondary fermentation process and they directly inject CO2 instead. Abita Amber used to be my main stay beer. Not anymore. However I do enjoy The Boot.

I guess that's a by product of growing and expanding. I remember going to Abita when the tours were so small they didn't need a microphone to explain the brewing process.
I went back 7 years later and the tour experience changed completely. Glad they're doing well though.
