Crawfish in DC

I am stuck here for another couple of months and my wife found a place called Chasin' Tails that bills itself as authentic Louisiana food. We went last night. The had live crawfish advertised all over the place, so I was cautiously optomistic and ordered 4 lbs of the hottest they made.
The waitress asked me if I wanted a bib and gloves, to which I laughed because I thought she was joking. She wasn't and literally insisted on bringing me a pair of food prep gloves and a bib, my wife was laughing. We started looking around and there are people wearing the gloves to eat fried shrimp, no joke.
Crawfish came and were not very good, cooked in some kind of oil which was kind of gross, especially the ones lower in the bag. I assume they used the oil to get the boil to stick to the crawfish because some were literally caked in spices. Whatever, I didn't expect it to be like home. We ordered another 2 lbs and called it quits.
The check comes and I about die. $72 for 6 lbs of very mediocre crawfish. This alone is reason enough to hate Washington DC.
Between the bib/gloves and the world's most expensive crawfish, I figured this board might appreciate it. Please go eat some real crawfish for those of us stuck in occupied territory.
