That would be less than 75% by the population and shrinking, if you are going by sales. Just because you don't have the palate for craft beer, doesn't mean its not good.
Also, Germany is trying to replicate American craft beer and the "liquified hops" you hate so much. STone just opened a brewery there and many local German brewers are importing hops from America to do their spin on American craft beer.
and German food is pretty damn boring if you ask me.
