cooking from anthony bourdain's "les halles cookbook"

a food writer documents his attempts to cook through bourdain's bistro recipe book. i dont have the book, but i'm going to go get it

He was the best, RIP.
That said, I ate at Les Halles in the early 2000s and it was very underwhelming.
He was a better writer than a chef, glad he found his calling and got to be a rockstar for 20 years.

It is a very good book. That rillette recipe in particular is fantastic.
French Feasts, My Paris, and The Cooking of Provincial France are other excellent cookbooks if you are into French cooking (besides all the other usual suspects).
