IPO brings me to my other problem, the places that could compete well with their contemporaries across town, don't advertise at all: IPO, Jolie Pearl, and Tsunami.
I don't know why there isn't one downtown entity with a billboard presence on I-10, even if they all got together and split a digital west of the river it seems like it would be a good idea.

Too many old baton rouge people run the city and keep it boring for the younger generation...that's why they graduate from LSU and SOUTHERN and leave for Austin Houston DALLAS AND ATLANTA...better paying jobs and more to do on your off days...baton Rouge is not a progressive town ...our mayor and city council are both awful...wake up baton rouge the world is passing you by

I'm 36 and it's been like this my entire life.

That's doesn't seem to stop anyone. Downtown is packed on the weekends.

In fairness to Tsunami, I go relatively frequently and I'm not sure if they'd gain much by advertising
Now that I think about it, maybe their bento box lunch, which is actually an under appreciated value based on how empty they generally are during lunch, unless I just happen to get lunch a bit later than their rush. But even then, it would only make sense to advertise to those of us who work downtown.

Heavy radio advertising is what saved Stroubes.

Tsunami,
Tsunami is a great example of what BR could use more of. I've been several times, and although I like the food, I love going there for the view and outdoor deck (not summer-
Saw one of the most amazing lightning storms up there.

I know someone on the inside at Driftwood. Everything he has told me lends me to believe they will be similar to Bulldog's business model with about half the beers and more robust whiskey selection. They will serve finger foods (burgers, chicken wings, and sandwiches) at lunch and around happy hour. I'm looking forward to this place opening as the guy that is running it is passionate/knowledgeable about anything he decides to get into.
