Maybe I'm late to the party, but I just discovered the coffee tonic. A shot of espresso plus (good quality) tonic water, over ice.

where does one find good quality tonic water. I only see generics, Schwepps and Canada Dry

I would think that most major groceries stores would carry better quality ones in addition to the usual HFCS-laden ones. Certainly places like Whole Foods.
Many specialty food stores on the Internet have them too.

Good idea.
On the other hand I just remembered a can of tonic water is 125 calories.
I ain't drinking calories unless there is alcohol involved.

I'm more likely to use plain Perrier or Pellegrino sparkling water with my drinks simply because I'm trying to cut sugar intake.
That being said, a nice gin and tonic made with a better quality tonic water on a hot summer day does hit the spot.

A bottle of Fever Tree (widely sold these days, even at my rural rotgut Winn Dixie store) will set you back 40 calories. Q is another good choice, even lower in calories at 24 per bottle. Fentiman's is another non HCFS choice.
But get a bottle and try the iced coffee tonic!

This sounds appealing in no way whatsoever.

Heck ya! If I can do it for 25-40 calories, I will go for it.
I love espresso and tonic and I am pretty ok with ice, so it would likely be awesome.
