buy a grinder. buy whole beans. grind at home the second before you put it into your machine. that makes a huge difference.

You get up every morning and do this?

I grind a few days' worth, and just put it in an airtight container.

yes. unless its satrday and sunday morning. we grind it the night before. i have a roommmate that sleeps in on the weekend. it takes 2 seconds. i have an electric grinder. no coffee is ground up when it enters our home.

its more expensive coffee but i never go to the coffee shop for good coffee these days. last few times ive paid 2 bucks for coffee, ive thought "my coffee at home is better"

Right, I understand that.

But I would never listen to the sound of something like that after first waking up. To each his own.

It's the lack of tattoos that threw ya off.

Go into Starbucks every morning. Order a Quad Espresso. Take it over to the counter and add 4 packets of sugar and 1 tablespoon of whole milk.
Stir with about 3 of those Chinese Birch Wood stirrers. Enjoy.

After 10 trips the Barristas will recognize your car and have your order ready as you walk in the door.
