We are Keto dieting at our house and will not be able to make these this year, but I had these photos from a year or two back and thought you guys might decide to make these for yourself or your family.
If you have kids, or husbands, wifes, parents, grandparents, firends or big yellow dogs, these are guaranteed to be a hit.
Also, they couldn't be much easier to make than this recipe.
Christmas Sugar Cookies
Ingredients:
2 bags Betty Crocker Sugar Cookie Mix
2 large eggs
2 sticks butter or margarine
1 can Vanilla Frosting
As needed – sprinkles
Silpat baking sheet
Directions:
Mix and bake cookies per package directions
Portion cookie dough onto Cookie sheet, or Silpat sheet
Bake per package directions
Ice cookies, while still a little warm
Sprinkle each cookie with colored sprinkles
Store over night in a closed container – They will soften and are best after 2 days storage in a closed container.
Christmas is coming Guys!
Thanks for looking at my reposting of this old holiday treat.

My wife made sugar cookies a week ago and said the same thing. She also added two pieces of white bread……and it worked. She hasn’t been in the kitchen since.

We freeze them. Take them out of the freezer for 5 minutes then eat. They are awesome

Does anyone have a tried and true from scratch method. I haven't tried in a few years but I could never get it right. If I'm going to bake sugar cookies from premade mixes, I'm just going to get the little pack that I put straight on a pan and bake.
I could never get the scratch version to come out right.

One last time, I'll tell you the mix I show makes the best sugar cookie you will eat. However, since you refuse to believe how good my from a mix recipe is:
Amish Sugar Cookies
YIELD: about 5 dozen.
Ingredients
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup vegetable oil
1 cup sugar
1 cup confectioners' sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
Directions
In a large bowl, beat the butter, oil and sugars. Beat in eggs until well blended. Beat in vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda and cream of tartar; gradually add to creamed mixture.
Drop by small teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 375° until lightly browned, 8-10 minutes. Remove to wire racks to cool.

Here is the recipe that belongs to a friend of the wife:
Ms Lovelady's Sugar Cookies
Mix Together:
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp soda
Add:
1 cup sugar
1 stick margarine, melted
1/2 cup Crisco
1 egg beaten
1 tsp vanilla
3 T milk or sour cream
Mix together thoroughly. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees. Can be rolled out if you chill first.

Simply Recipes Sugar Cookies
1. Use half vanilla, half almond
2. Their method of rolling the dough between two sheets of parchment BEFORE chilling is key.

Almond makes such a difference in sugar cookies as well as in the icing. The Cookie Lady in New Orleans who makes those wonderful thin sugar cookies uses almond in the cookie and the icing. They are the best sugar cookies I have ever had. I haven't ordered any in a long time. I don't know if she still bakes them. I think her name is Joan Farrell Mathis.
