Popeyes spicy tenders are the best and it is not close. I actually went to get some last night at the burbank/bluebonnet location and was told to come back in 30 minutes b/c they weren't ready. As much as the service sucks, the chicken itself is awesome.

Canes is 2nd b/c their only redeeming quality is the sauce.

Chik-fil-a is last b/c they are not crispy, are usually oily/greasy, and lack seasoning.

It would help your /thread if you weren't the only person on this entire forum actual saying that.

I've never understood the overwhelming love for chick.

I guess I am just hardcore popeyes.

They do no wrong with the food although they do have the worst service of any chain at almost every location.

And I still wish they would have a damn red beans dinner that included a big arse sausage.

And the last 3 times I have gone they have filled the red beans bowl about 1/2.

So, I can see why people hate popeyes for the service but that damn chicken is crack.

Good service and their chicken is flavorful and juicy if you get it fresh. It's not spicy, but that doesn't mean it's not good. And I think you're being a bit too dismissive of Canes too. They clearly have designed their chicken finger flavor around their "secret" sauce, because that's the business model they copied. You can't say it's bad just because it requires sauce and Popeye's doesn't, there are lots of good dishes that are pretty bland without the accompanying sauce.

Well actually I can say that and I did. If I need to dip something into the sauce for it to be palatable then it is crap.

I am dismissive because I can't stand Canes. And tons of the so called lovers of Canes tout the sauce over and over. The sauce isn't any good either. Mayo and ketchup with a pinch of spice is not impressive.

The food is delicious. With a limited menu and no real options (type of breading, light vs dark meat, no dressing except pickles) it's almost impossible for them to mess your order up.

Chick Fil A almost exclusively hires young people who belong to church organizations. You hire happy happy joy joy teens, you won't get many complaints about the service.

I don't see why needing sauce that they both provide and intend you to use you is an automatic disqualification. Would you have a hamburger battle but deduct points for toppings and condiments?

I never said the sauce disqualified it. I said NEEDING the sauce disqualified it.

ketchup and mayo on a bland chicken strip does not somehow magically make it better.

We all have different tastes. My tastebuds think Canes is crap.
