Canseco's in the N.O. area---pork butts at $1.19 lb.

I just picked up two cryovac packs with 2 butts in each for the above price. Two I will use to make sausage and 2 I have to smoke for an office party for my wife's work.
Not the $.99 a lb. they often go on sale for, but close enough to get them for my needs.
Just a heads up. The sale is good through tomorrow.

What were the general sizes? What did you get?

Both packs looked like your typical Boston Butt----fat cap on one side, blade bone in the roasts and well muscled pork throughout.
Both packs were in the $20 range, so both packs in the 16-17 lb. range with each roast weighing in the neighborhood of 8-8.5 lbs.
