Also, coating the lettuce with EVOO makes a large flavor difference. it's brings out the flavor in everything.
and use FRESH parmigiano reggiano, it's infinity better than the green container from Kraft.

If I'm not mistaken the orginator of that dressing made a caesar salad and would rub an anchovie all over the bowl, make the dressing, then add the lettuce and what not. I could be wrong though.
