Butcher box and the like

Anyone ever ordered from places like this? I can’t help but think it is similar to Omaha Steaks. With meat prices these days and limited selection at certain grocery stores I thought it might be something worthwhile to always have something on hand. But if it is no better than grocery store quality it probably isn’t worth it. They’re running a special for free salmon for new customers right now and for a family of 5 we could get maybe 3 weeks worth of meat for the month out of their boxes at a reasonable price. Just looking for any experiences with it and if it’s worth it or not.

If you are going to do bulk like that, May as well order from a local farmer. It’s going to be much better quality than Butcher Box and cheaper

I don’t think local butchers or farmers are going to be cheaper than big bulk options. Quality, probably for sure though.

We were gifted a one month’s supply/subscription from Butcher Box for Christmas. The quality was very good, but we did not continue the subscription because we didn’t think we could continue to eat that much meat on a monthly basis.
All of it organic, non-GMO, no hormones or antibiotics.

Looks good. Can you pick and choose options and quantity? Or is it just “this is what you get for the month” ?

Go on their website. Pick and choose what you want, to some degree. Many options.
