Yesterday I did a Google search of Single Malts by price list and came across a bunch of interesting online retailers of some very good stuff. Some excellent 18 yr olds for about a c-note were availible. But there were some that I would need to win the lottery to even ask about.

I have two close friends who drink expensive Scotch a lot, so I've had the opportunity to try several dozen $80-$100 dollar scotches.
For someone who is not a "scotch" drinker, my personal favorite is the Glenlivet Nadurra 16 year old. It is pretty strong though, so I recommend cutting it about 60/40 scotch to water or on the rocks.
