Union oyster House has a neat raw bar and served the best chowder I had on my trip.

"Al Dente" was suggested in the thread, but the menu boasts this comment which always worries me if they actually have to put it on the menu:

My brother in law is a big food guy and just moveed to Boston. He mentioned over Christmas that he was taking his wife to L'Etoile for New Years eve. Said it was one of the best places in Boston/
