Received a Boos board for Christmas. This thing is hefty! I also have the oil and cream and I watched a couple of videos on how to initially apply it. Are you using the sponge applicator for the oil or cream or both?

I honestly just use my hands and wipe the board off with a towel after. Seems to work fine for me.

Use your hands, let the excess sit on the board it will sink in over a couple hours then wipe off with paper towel. You need to treat it every day for a week. Then once a week for a month. This will give you a good base.

Okay...

Their instructions say once a month...am I supposed to treat it with the oil or cream everyday?

I re-oiled it last night. I put a very generous amount on there so it pooled on top of the board. This morning About half of the board soaked it in and the surface was fairly dry and the other half had some standing on top.

I’m guessing maybe one more day of oil and then cream?
