Got 40lbs. last night from Captain Avery's in Monroe. 2.89 a lb. live, decent size for this time of year.

Crawfish Tyme is the best I've had anywhere.

I agree Crawfish Tyme is about the best pickup crawfish I've had. Zydeco on Youree was either as good or better. They are both waay better than anyone else I've seen in the area. The problem with Crawfish Tyme is that you have to stand in line while they process 20 food stamp purchases. Funny thing is, some of the worst, most bland crawfish I've had have been in the Lafayette area.

I haven't been to Crawfish Tyme, but back in the day Shaver's and Savoie's were the best places. My parents say Shane's is pretty good too.

I've never had Shane's, but I haven't heard many good things. I had Shaver's had a big gathering last year and it was like they just dumped crab boil and cayenne pepper on the after they were cooked. Some friends told me about Zydeco, I think it's new. They said the guy is from around Abbeville.

yeah, honestly the best crawfish I've had in Shreveport is when my friend's med school pals from Moss Bluff bought em live and cooked them up in a backyard in Broadmoor.

Went there Saturday as well. Well worth the 30 minute drive. They were incredible.
