My mom always just cooks the fruit down with sugar on the stove, pours that in into a cake pan then covers with yellow cake mix and oats. Melt down some butter and pour that all over the top of that and bake it.
Get a corner piece of that and drop a scoop of vanilla ice cream on it right out of the oven

Basically same as my Mom's recipe. (Looking at her handwritten cookbook now.)
A little lemon juice, 1 teaspoon in the blueberry pie filling(cooked down blueberries and sugar). Then 1 cake mix (yellow/butter preferably) then 1/2 cup chopped nuts (pecans preferably in our family) then 1/2 cup (1 stick) margarine/butter (either melted and poured or cut into thin pats and placed evenly). Bake 350 in 9x9 greased pan for 40-50 minutes.
