last time we discussed prime ribs, some people said this is a method they use. Anyone care to expand? Does the butane(?) give the meat any kind of funky smell or taste to it?

so its just an attachment to a normal torch. IT doesnt make the meat smell or taste funny?

I tried this with both a chef's butane torch and a MAP torch.

Did not like the result (weird taste) and prefer a hot gas or charcoal grill.
