I just heard about this for the first time. I searched, but didn't turn up any results. Does anyone have experience with this? Any reviews? Pretty cool that it's from Louisiana and associated with LSU.

I rec'd a bag of it as a favor/giveaway at some event (can't recall what it was). Tasted just like plain rice, cooks up to a more greyish color than a true purple. Haven't ever seen it for retail sale. The bag I had was branded w/LSU Ag logo.

Ol boy with lsu developed it. As part of his retirement he got to keep it. Blanca is his wife. It's grown by the zaunbrachers in Rayne and maybe a little of Crowley.
Rice is more nutritious than normal rice.... Cooks up the same though.
