Skip the seafood and go to the Project Lounge for a burger and beer. (also the second hand smoke is delicious)

The Eggplant Orleans at Wentzell's is a delicious dish. I like the fried shrimp there also.
I personally would skip Shaggy's and Mary Mahoney's. Not impressed with either.
I haven't tried Cuz's in BSL yet, but want to because I've heard good things about it.

Not quite as dark as it was pre-Katrina, but it's a bitch to walk in there from a bright day. No idea if it's packed or you're the only one there for 5 minutes until your eyes adjust.
