I can throw a $15 steak on my weber for 4 minutes and produce, to 95%, what they can.
While I agree you can do it just as well at home, it's the meat that matters. I picked up two handcut ribeyes from Butcher, salt and pepper, seared on each side in the cast iron skillet and finished in the broiler. It was easily one of the best steaks I've ever had. The meat was pricey, but well worth it.

The best thing at Ruth Chris IMO is the BBQ Shrimp as your meal. It comes served on mashed potatoes. Steaks are good, but not the best. Mr John's and Mortons I like the best.

Thanks for recommending Mr. Johns, we had an awesome experience.
Appetizer special which the waiter recommended due to it being our 5 yr aniiversary was fried oyster that were topped with brussel sprouts braised in bacon fat. Delicious.
My wife had a filet and I had the New York Strip. Cooked perfectly and had a great flavor.
Sides were asparagus (meh) and crystal hot sauce onion rings- very good.
Bread Pudding on the house- delicious.
Had a $70 bottle of wine and the bill was only $190, which I thought was reasonable.
Great evening.

O'Briens does have a very good steak. I went to Beef Connection last week and was pretty impressed.

Best steak I've had came from Dickie B's. That being said, I've never been to Mr. John's. Will have to check it out.
Saw someone mention Crescent City Steakhouse. Maybe I had a bad experience, but I thought the steak and the way they prepared it was one of the worst in the city.
