Banana Blossom is my favorite Thai in the area.
The pickled shite is somewhere wrapped in the noodles.

If banana blossom was uptown or in the whd/cbd, it would talked about as being one of the better restaurants in the city

Jimmy told me it was standing room only Thurs-Saturday.
And unlike NOLA restaurants, they're busier during summer.

Food is delicious, but damn, the place is louder than an airport runway during takeoff. I can't take the dining room in full 8 pm roar....I hit it for very late lunch or early dinner.

Do you always get it with the shrimp? I used to get it with beef, but they discontinued beef when they moved locations. I’ve also tried both versions of chicken, but no shrimp yet.
Also, the portion size and quality has seemed to go down with the new location, but maybe I’ve just been on off nights.

If I have to meet someone at the courthouse we sometimes goto Thanh Thanh, ever try it? They have this reverse crab Rangoon that is killer. It’s a deconstructed app and you eat it like a dip.

Thanh Thanh has good lunch specials and a quick lunch when I’m in court.
Can’t go wrong with tahn Dinh’s (sp) lemon grass wings, tongue burrito from taqueria Sanchez or cracklings from Danny and Bonnie’s.
I miss pho tau bay.

Was there the other day. Same old place just not in the run down shopping center, which in-itself was pretty cool.
