Dang's was the tits back in the 2000s. Pandan had the best banh mi in town until they closed and relocated to Metairie. Dong Phuong banh mi is okay, I rather Lee's Sandwiches from Houston. Hong Kong Market has a decent banh mi for a grocery store.

Went to Bao today and tried the Grilled pork Bahn Mi. It’s the first time I’ve ever had a Bahn Mi and it was fantastic. Also tried the steak pho and it was very good.

Their grilled pork is legit. Try it in the vermicelli bowl, if you like those.

My only complaint there is sitting at the bar and having to listen to 2 tvs both playing different channels(usually food network and hgtv) along with music. Seriously cut the tv volumes off

I seen that and wanted to try it too. Will definitely get it next time. Haha I picked it up to go so didn’t have to deal with the TVs.

Get the vermicelli bowl combo with the grilled pork, grilled shrimp and egg roll. Its the same grilled pork in the banh mi.

If you like pho bowls, try the spicy beef soup(bun bo hue).
