Austin's is good. The service has been hit or miss for me, but it is a great choice if you're already in metairie and don't feel like driving into NOLA.

Haven't eaten there in while but it was always good when I ate there. Cypress in the same area is also very good.

Pretty good place, it's the "fine dining" flagship of the Mr. Ed's group of local restaurants. Good steaks and usually good seafood specials and a nice bar area. Expect entries in the upper teens to twenties.

I tried Mr. Ed's for the 1st time on Fri - it was very good - we had a table of 12, lots of variety at the table, and everyone's dishes looked/tasted excellent. Good size portions too.
Also, the italian dressing on my salad was Awesome - they said it was home-made.
