BBQ:Hard to find in Austin, I suggest City Market in Luling, and Smitty's in Lockhart. In the city, I like House Park BBQ and Rudy's. Don't go to Ruby's even though it has a brick pit. It's employees are all nasty college students who know shite about cleanliness

No appreciation for Sam's? It's dirty and in the middle of a shady neaighborhood. But it's pretty good.
The beef ribs at Ironworks are delicious. Their regular sauce is the best I've had.
The Mexican Vanilla & Belgian Chocolate at Amy's is out of this world.

Also, Texas Monthly's newest edition has the Top 50 burgers in Texas, and an article about how the burger was invented in Texas. Check it out.

I've had the one on this month's cover.

#6 (the Stodgburger) is named after a friend of mine.

Still, any list that omits Angry Dog or Wingfields for Dallas is illegitimate, IMO.
