Artichokes in a crawfish boil

Put them in before the crawfish with the potatoes and such or put them in after the crawfish go in with the rest of the veggies?

If boiling the chokes, keep a paring knife handy while doing it. When the knife will go into the stem "easily" it is done.

In with the potatoes. Artichokes take forever.
