Are there any Mexican or Asian markets in or around BR?

I keep reading about crazy low prices on vegetables, fruits and spices (especially limes, avocados and pineapples) at these places.

La Morenita on Florida Boulevard near Wooddale, next to Office Depot. Great prices on produce and meat but it helps if you can speak Spanish to the butcher to be sure you get what you want.

Which of those is the best for fruits/vegetables. Specifically avocados and limes.

Whole Foods has the best fruit/veggies in town.

But, if you are brave enough to risk say a Mexican or Colo cantaloupe, try La Morenita, La Tiendita, or say some asian root veggies go to Vinh Phat.

Got some great seedless ripe La Oranges at Fresh Pickins last week.

The last time I was at La morenita the avocados looked good and were 33 cents a piece. So yes I would definitely give them a try.

They've had lemons ten for a buck and limes fifteen for a buck. Great assortment of peppers. They've also got an in-store bakery and a taqueria.

Definitely get the pre-marinated skirt steak from La Morenita. I bought a big slab of it for $10, stuff was excellent and made great fajitas/quesadillas.

La Morenita has great produce, meats and a killed taqueria for cheap! Not to mention its clean in there. Highly recommended.
