Having a family reunion Boil in two days. Didn't know how long the season is running. Are they already getting hard?

I've had some that were hard but I've also heard of people still getting some nice sacks

Had some last weekend. Yes they're getting pretty damn hard. Nice size though.

Some places are only carrying Belle River crawfish now as it is late in the season and most of the ponds are shut down. Those things are pretty hard shelled, but nice sized. I had some last weekend and they are more trouble to peel and the larger heads I saved to use for crawfish bisque tore up my hands cleaning them.

A friend boiled two sacks this past weekend. First one was great, second one was hard.

My favorite time of the year to boil them. I like the big hard ones *TWSS
