Few examples:
Colgin

Harlan
Lokoya
Bryant Family
Schrader
Scarecrow
They’re all small production and waitlisted.

Peju
Aum
Rutherford
David Fulton
I may have signed up for another but don't remember.
All smallish or small vineyards I liked. Hell, Aum is tiny and so is David Fulton who may get sold for $$$$ and rip up those awesome grapes that make Petit Syrah that's out of this world to plant you know what because $$$$$$$.

I've been on the wait lists for Schrader and Colgin for a couple of years; how did you manage to get them? Wait it out?

Yeah, I did wait it out but I don’t recall it being too many years. Maybe two years? Most of them like to start you off with a “lower rung” offering to see how serious you are. It makes one scared to not purchase one year, lest ye get shuffled to the back of the line again. Getting these small production wines on allocation will also keep you from paying the exorbitant markup that so many restaurants place on them. It’s worse than waiting on Christmas when you’re asked to purchase your allocation in January for a November shipping window. Good luck!
