He actually thinks that some people will respect his opinion as regarding food as he has declared that a successful person is a piece of shite in his own mind, and he has found one author who feels the same way. I will have to use up another roll of TP today.

P.S. I don't know what you're talking about with the cake thing, but I don't really like cake with a very few exceptions. I saw the pounded potatoes in your link.

I did see a rerun the other day of DDD where Guy ate some doberge looking tortilla wedge, but I wasn't paying attention so I don't know what it was. Is that what you're talking about?

Did anyone say they would like or want to eat all of the food featured on DDD? I don't think so. He tastes a lot of things on the show. So what? That's his job whether it's his recipe or someone else's. Doesn't mean we're all going to eat everything featured.

What's the point...again? You just extending the trolling?

I have stopped responding directly to him as it is pointless except for exposing his idiocy. Tje only thing that is interesting is what rock did he crawl up from underneath to rear his stupidity on here.

Talking about this? I saw this.
Seems real odd to me, but he said it's a best seller at his restaurant

Yeah, that's it. That's what it looked like. I didn't see what goes into it, but there's not much room between the layers, so I assume there's not much to it. It didn't look gooey or ooze when he took a bite. Doesn't look like something I'd order, but I wouldn't care if someone at my table did. In fact, I'd probably want them to, so I could examine it out of curiosity.

That post was pointless, anyway. The link went to potatoes and I couldn't figure out what that had to do with a garlic cake. Looks like a pretty stupid blog in which people are wasting time cooking something they won't eat or don't like. I didn't get it, but I haven't gotten much from his vitriole, anyway.

Thanks, CIT.

Carry on....

The only places I have ever heard of cook times for a menu item are exclusively five star establishments. The Connaught(London) hotel has a lime souffle that needs 24 hours time for a request of one. I can't remember the name or location one restaurant has a four day time on one of thier dishes.

If you want Baked Alaska from Antoines you have to let them know a day in advance.

If you want the Bread Pudding Souffle at Commander's Palace, you have to order it at the time you order your entrees.

The more I look at that recipe, the more curious I get. I may just try it. It's starting to appeal to me. You know if you put that mixture on top of a tortilla and bake it, the mayo mixture will puff up and turn golden. Could make some interesting canapes. I love baked puffed up mayo mixtures, but I'm a common dumb person. I do a canape with a crabmeat/mayo base and it's lovely.

if you want the buffalo fries at Guy's you need to tell them 30 minutes ahead of time so they can fry the fries 3 times

The four day item was a part of a write up of a restaurant whose chef was French, the restaurant I believe is in NYC. It was an article in a Gourmet magazine about four years ago, maybe a little earlier. It was bitching assed recipe as it was so meticulous.

speaking of idiocy and stupidity now I see the level of person I'm dealing with here. People who make sure to mention the Hussien in the president's name generally are of a certain type,

Dayum, all this time I thought that WAS his name. I always say my niece's middle name. Same with one of my nephews.

In any event, take the poli business elsewhere, please. CIT didn't post that on the FD&B. He posted it, appropriately, on the poli board.

Why don't you take that to the PoliTalk board ? I bet you can find some real abuse over there. I have a feeling that your type is the one that thinks they are intellectually and culturally superior to everyone else.

I had a co-worker years ago, former Grambling football player, whose philosophy went something like this :

" Well ya know, everybody like what they like. "

Pretty simple, pretty effective.

Hey Asshat any time you want to play TEAM Trivial Purss'uit I will let you have FIVE people aned I am going to rape all of you. As to the "kind" of person I am I have this to say, I have friends from almost 90 nations on thie dirtball, and I am not taking Facebook friends of every color and religious belief systems known to mankind. Let me know when you get past ten. I would have responded earlier but my connection at home died yesterday. As to mine or Gris Gris reputations on this board you might want to pay attention to this fact, the two of us are considered members of a very small number of people in the "best cook" category out of the 7,000 people that usually visit this board, the list is less than 10 members long. So once again as I remarked earlier in this thread, your shite stinks dude. Go back under youor rock.
