I would think any of the small seafood stores can get it

I called a handful and most didn't carry it that I called. It seemed easy to get at the wholesale level, but not retail.

On the wholesale level it's a lot cheaper but you would probably have to buy a case. I used to sell it at my place for $6.99 also. Big Fisherman is high on their stuff. You might be able to buy a 12# case from a wholesaler for like $5-$6/lb.

Hebert's seafood in Boutte carries it I think. Most should carry it. Seems like it should be a staple at a seafood market.

I think Tommy's Seafood in prarieville has it also.

St.Tammany Parish is having an alligator fest this weekend at Koop drive in Mandeville. If you get off at I-12 and Hwy. 59,go north. The first left you can take is Koop Dr. It`s about a quarter mile from I-12.

There is a great place in manchac right next to middendorf's . I watched them skin the hide and cut the meat off the tail.

How about straight from the "Swamp People" themselves?

Kliebert's in Hammond sells meat and all types of alligator novelties. That's the place that Mike,Bruce and Mike's son work at.
