If I got it right this is what's been suggested that you haven't tried:

Morvant's
Max's
Gary's
French Press
WhoDaq's
Cajun Burger
Dix's
Some places not in Lafayette but close by that I've never heard of but will definitely try in the coming weeks.
Cochon (closed)

I'm a big burger fan so I know what you're going through here. There's only two I can think of that haven't been mentioned that's halfway decent. One is served at The Wild Salmon Bar by Lafayette High. Extremely spicy but they do serve them medium rare. It is a bar first and a restaurant second so there will be smokers in there during peak periods.

The other is JB Snubs by the airport. Thick burgers on a grill. These are good as well.

I'll cook you a burger myself, damn it.

Jeez, I step away to help kids with homework, then set up a new printer, and this is what we've got in a burger thread?

Plus, no body got my Ford Pinto reference

I would try Max's first, but obviously, they don't serve fries.

Don't give him anymore more suggestions. He's just trolling for more pages. Lafayette has some of the best food around this country. (Not including fine dining) like some of you folks are into.
